Rental Policies

There will be an additional charge of eur 4.00 eur per day excl vat per rental for each additional authorized driver. The general car rental conditions Enterprise rent a car nl - apply for all additional drivers.

All car groups are available for all renters aged 18 and over with the exception of car groups full size, premium and luxury which are only available to 25 year old renters and above.

It is allowed to use the vehicle only in the following countries - Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Vatican. If the vehicle should be taken outside these listed countries, enterprise prior written consent must be obtained. Some restrictions may apply with respect to - loading the vehicle on trains, boats, ferries or similar means of transportation. - taking the vehicle from the mainland onto an island. - taking certain types of vehicles across borders.

CDW - collision damage waiver - basic cover. If chosen and indicated on the the rental aggreement or if included in the rate, this facility will limit the liability for any damage to the vehicle subject to the non-waivable charge. NWC - non waivable charge - fixed amount charged for every rental for which cdw has been taken out and where the vehicle is returned damanged. The amount of non waivable charge varies from eur 750.00 to eur 1150.00 depending on car category. CDW basic cover does not cover roof, tires and windsscreens, broken glass - loss of keys or contaminations of fuel. Damage to the under body - work and - and or roof due to the collision with bridges, tunnels, overhanging structures etc. Is excluded from the damage cover,unless a force majeure can be proved.

Domestic One Way, between the Enterprise Rental Locations Amsterdam Airport, Amsterdam Central Station, Eindhoven Airport and Maastricht Central Station charges may apply. Prior notification is required for all Domestic one-way rentals. Drop off at a rental location other than the one originally agreed/booked; renter will incur a penalty of 48.40 EUR. Other Domestic One Way routes within The Netherlands, prior to written consent by Enterprise NL, EUR 0.60/km with a minimum of 60.50 EUR. International One Way, prior to written consent by Enterprise NL EUR 1.81/km. Limited to the following countries only; Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany and Luxembourg. Drop-off only possible at Enterprise Airport or Railway Station locations. All fees quoted include VAT.

All vehicles are delivered with a full tank of petrol and must be returned in the same condition. If the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank a charge of eur 2.50 per litre for refueling service per fuel shortage will be applied.

SLP Supplementary Liability Protection - third party liability- is included in the rate and covers each person in the event of bodily injury and or death to third parties as well as property damage.

Personal accident insurance - PAI -. If chosen and indicated in the rental agreement or if included in the rate, this facility provides a financial indemnity for the driver and passengers - subject to permitted number of occupants in the vehicle - in the event of death or permanent disability. The amounts vary depending whether an adult or a child is involved. Similarly, partial disability may lead to lower payment or to no payment at all if the disability percentage is below a certain threshold. The terms and conditions are available upon request. PAI is an option and not mandatory to rent a vehicle.

American Express, Mastercard, Diners Club and Visa credit cards are accepted. Cash payments, Travellers Cheques and Euro Cheques are not accepted. An international valid credit card is always required for the deposit -determined by multiplying the rate by the rental period reserved and other relevant charges plus the applicable excess amount. In addition, for car category FDAR an extra deposit applies of Euro 2000 and for car category PDAR an extra deposit of Euro 3000- which will be held on the credit card until the vehicle is returned and the final rental charge is debited. Any charges for damages, fines, taxes, penalties and the related administration fees belonging to the rental period can also be debited from the credit card after the return of the vehicle.

Enterprise provides 24-7 breakdown and assistance service to the customer. This service is handled by anwb roadside assistance. Further information specific to the roadside assistance including the 24-7 assistance telephone number will be provided at the time of rental. Roadside assistance is provided with the rental free of charge in case of mechanical breakdown, not due to driver negligence of wilful misconduct.

All drivers - including additional drivers - must hold and produce a driving license valid in the country where the rental takes place. The driving license must have been issued by authorized authorities at least 12 months before the date of the commencement of the rental. In addition to the normal driving license, an international driving license is also mandatory if the driving license is written in a language different to the one of the renting country and or in characters that cannot be read in the renting country or if the driving license is otherwise not valid in the European union. An international driving license is valid only if accompanied by the normal driving license. Also a valid identity card or passport must be presented at time of rental.

All the vehicles in the enterprise fleet are insured against bodily injury and property damage that you might inflict on a third party as a result of an accident involving the vehicle. The amounts for such liability cover are available on request. In particular, you must comply with the rule concerning permitted destinations, as set out in the - General Car Rental conditions of Enterprise Rent - A - Car NL - in order to have the full benefit of the insurance provisions.
